You haven't thought about fouled O2 sensors. Sensors that are carbonized from running rich can cause false readings to be given to the PCM. Over time this will saturate the Cats.
you're right, i hadn't thought about that yet. is there a way, that you know of, to tell if they are bad?

So that might help, smoke your pipes just to b sure, also check your cai/airbox for leaks ... I think I need to sea foam
i haven't been able to check all exhaust connections yet, but that will probably be my next 'check'. funny thing, though, i actually just checked my cai a couple of days ago for leaks... no problems, though
also, on a side note/question... i know when you seafoam you need to suck it through a/the vacuum hose, but i've never been sure which hose is the right one (so a pic or something would be appreciated )
I wouldnt read too much into it. I gaurantee your cats are still fine. It just smells, alot of people have noticed it too. Im not sure how High flow cats will make it smell lol. I have an o/r prochamber and honestly its not all that loud. It is very tolerable.
My GF was following me in her Z, I floored it and she said it was very strong smelling but she didnt say what it smelled like. I also have high flow cats so it may make some difference too.

Xeno....90% of the time if the sensors are bad you will throw a code? So any codes thrown?
^^ nope, no thrown codes (that's why i didn't really think about it, but i wasn't sure if you could do one of those basic diy diagnostic checks or something)
