I picked up my 2010 GT Prem. Friday night. It's Kona blue (silver stripes being put on today), manual, comfort pkg. and 19" luster nickel wheels, stock 3.31 rear.
I know we don't buy cars like these based on the gas consumption so no need for flames, but I am curious as to what anyone is averaging in city driving with a similar equipped 2010.
This is my fourth Mustang, but the last was a 1979 turbo so this 2010 has been a long time coming. Love the car as I loved all the Mustangs I've owned. I think I got a very good deal: invoice less $2,000 in Ford Bonus cash and another $750 from Ford in a personalized additional cash check which came in the back of the Ford Taurus booklet I had requested via Ford's website = final price of $2,750 less than invoice.
Let me know about your city, highway & combined gas mileage and if you think I got a good deal or just average based on your purchase experience.

I can't speak on city driving since my GT isn't my DD and is mainly used for trips. But my average highway driving, pump-to-pump and hand calculated, is 23-24 MPG at 70 MPH with 3.55's and manual tranny. When I run 65 MPH or less, I can squeeze out 26-27 MPG, again hand calculated. The on-board computer is typically 1-2 MPG generous but a small percentage of Stangs are pretty close.

Going by the digi interface 90% street driving 16.7 I haven't reset it for the last 3 tanks.
When I was about 50-50 city/highway I was able to squeeze out 21.5 mpg. Again, on the digi interface over a few tanks. That was freeway driving with speeds ranging from 35-80 (rush hour to wide open)

Worst: 16.5mpg
Best: 22.5mpg
I'm averaging right at 20 in mixed driving.
3.31 axle, GT prem convertible 5 speed. I think the extra vert weight is offset by the low axle ratio.

Hey thanks for the info so far. Not too bad at all considering the type of car it is, and a little better than my 4Runner was getting.
Got the car back with the stripes done. It looks really sweet, I'll try to post some pics asap.
