Intake induction tube?

It's a trick, they make you think the sound is pulsing through the tube, but look at the end of the thing ...
That's an iPod Nano they got there feeding engine music through the dash

One thing I have noticed is that every 2010 I have drove has sounded different, as in quieter or louder, must be the difference in sound deadening in the tube, I just drove a fresh track pack mustang the other day and man did it make some noise!
How does a guy go about pulling the sound deadening from the tube? Is the whole thing filled with it or what?

I don't mind the tube, but I think it is kinda "corny". I just hope the aftermarket CAI's don't keep the tube and have a plug for the firewall. I'd rather hear whats coming out the tail pipe then from the intake tube.

Anaconda Horny Tube
I totally agree, the sound tube is lame and must be deleted on my 2011. Once you get slightly louder axle back and CAI get rid of the Anaconda Horny Tube rats nest ! But so far the new CAI's for the 2011 are keeping it and you will have to create a plug. In the past I have successfully taken thick plexyglass and cut/ground a circular plug which goes into the intake tube hole and then clamped. It just has to almost exactly match the diameter of the resonant chamber or in this case sound tube end.

I plugged mine. I'll probably remove it altogether in the not to distant future. It sounded ok and it might even make me drive slower with the noise. I'll put some touring mufflers on so I can free up the exhaust but noise for noise sake doesn't interest me any more.
