Talking Let the Stang loose today!

Riding home from Phila today on n/s freeway. (highway in Jersey going towards Atlantic City) Black stang just like mine pops in my review. Of course I hit it and so does he. Backed 4th at about 70 and TOOK OFF! (man these cars are FAST). So we're hauling azz and we blow by this late model Vette. Silver, real nice. Before I knew it he's right next to us. We all rocked about a buck 10 down the AC expressway. Love these cars! These little 4.6's just beg to driven! Glad my wife doesn't read these forums...she would kick my azz. She keeps saying she's going to take out an isurance policy on me.

Sorry if I affended any of the safe drivers out there...

Nice story! Next time rev match down to 3rd gear at 70 mph and let her rip. These motors pull like crazy over 4 grand.

So true!
Even with my 3.31 it pulls hard.
I dropped it into second at 50 a couple days ago (some truck was following me around riding my bumper and backing up and cut his lights off behind me at night so i wanted to put some distance between him) and i was at 75 before i had time to look at my tach after shifting to third.

God i want a GT

my little 4.0 is pretty quick with my C&L intake and tune...i give the 99-04 GT's a hard run for their money

my power ban is like 30-90 so it lets me keep things safe lol

Glad you love your car dude!

my favorite thing is shifting in to second from around 55 to 60 but it is scary as hell lol.... with the boost kicking in and over 6000rpms it pulls insane...... congrats on being able to open it up and have a little fun...

I am a "new" GT owner just recently, the last one I owned was a '93 5.0 Liter. I am really surprised at what the newer ones pull like. I am impressed, and it has been way too long since the last toy...lolol

+1

I'll drop to 3rd from 65-70. As good if not better than sex.

I used to live in Manahawkin, then Blackwood and then in Washington Twsp. back in the 80's...
