Default Double Din Install Help!!

I ordered a Kenwood DDX514 Double Din Navigation along with a metra 95-5812 dash kit and a mustang wiring harness. I have attempted to solder all of the wires that matched (color and following the Kenwood manual)
Questions:

1. There were 4 brown mute wires from the OEM mustang wiring harness I ordered, but only 1 from the kenwood harness. Do I attach any, or all of these to the kenwood wire?

2. I read in the Avic D3 install thread, that he needed a 5V regulator to eliminate a "popping" noise at start up with the shaker 500. I purchased one of these, but am not sure where to attach the "output" of the regulator (I assume it goes with the two blue/white "amp power" wires that come from the smaller grey OEM Mustang harness)

3. I grounded the regulator, the ground from the kenwood, and the "dimmer ground" from the white car harness to the single black car ground. Is this okay? I'm wondering where the dimmer ground went originally since it supposedly plugged into the OEM radio?

4. I have tried to put the metra dash kit on my navigation but I can't figure out how to bolt it down. It came with 4 long screws that look like they are for drilling into wood, but they are the wrong diameter from my kenwood holes (and definitely too long). The screws from the Kenwood navigation were too short for the metra kit, but the nav came with a small black piece(similar to that of the metra, but not as large) that would fit around the navigation screen, and a metal "holster/sheath" that fits around the navigation (slides in and out) if that makes any sense. Do I use either of these pieces with the metra kit? Thanks for your help, this is my first navigation install and don't want to mess up (and the instructions are universal, so my questions are car specific).

Cheers!

and breathe...

holy hell, you should have separated all your questions/thoughts on different lines. I'd attempt to help, but I decided to leave my enigma machine alone for the night.

Good luck on the install.

@ OP. can you possible rephrase the initial question with a seperate space between each question...and maybe # them in sequential order.

would make it alot easier if you can swing that

Head to the local stereo install shop.
You are in way over your head.

And for those still scratching their heads......... "Enigma machine": Used by the ****'s during WWII to transmit encoded messages. The ***** thought it was unbreakable. It wasn't (just obscenely difficult).

Sorry for the noob posts and confusing questions. I am not familiar with the mustang and there are so many different kinds of mustangs with different radios and such, I can't seem to search for my question on this forum.
I will update my first post and try and make it more legible

And I read through that thread, but I guess it's a different harness than on the 2007 mustang I ordered the harness for. I didn't see 4 brown mute wires like on mine and a couple colors there, are not on my harness.
