Default Deck Lid Panel/Fascia

Really starting to like the look of a "clean" rear on the 2010's. Mine came with the black deck lid panel or fascia. Any idea if it can be removed safely and without damaging the paint/sheet metal?

It is held on with double sided tape and pegs where the emblem is. If you remove it, you'll need a replacement emblem or do something with the resulting holes.

Let me know if you get rid of it, I was actually wanting to get one for my car.
