Alright, I have tried over and over again to find this thing and cant find it.

1. What does the Sync module look like?
2. What is written on it?
3. What is next to it?
4. How big is the module?

I ask all of these questions because there is a TON of crap behind the gove box, beside the glove box, above the glove box...... Pictures would be nice if anyone has them.

Thanks.

Those instructions were for my Focus. I'm not sure that the SYNC module would be there on a Mustang.

Well, everyone keeps saying that it's there on the Mustang also. After all, this is a Mustang forum, so hopefully someone will know where it is on the Mustang. Hey Ford Engineer, can you help on this one?

Are y'all able to get thumbdrives to work? I tried to use one and no bueno. Is there something I need to do to the drive. Same songs work when played in my vehicle with my mp3 player.

If i recall correctly, the drive needs to be formatted a certain way. I want to say FAT32 and not NFTS. It should work after you do that and reload the songs.

+1...its NTFS btw...

NTFS is not compatible with a lot of stuff...its a specific windows drive format. Make sure your flash drive is FAT32 formatted. I popped my thumb drive in the other day to upgrade sync and index files...worked perfectly.

Also, if its a thumb drive with any kind of security encryption that probably wouldnt work either.

Good call, I couldnt remember what format it was. I use an Ipod so I havent had to do it. I remember the same issue coming up with someone else on the syncmyride site.

Bump for my original question.....

Thanks.

You're the man! It seems like nobody really know where it is. I've read threads about people saying that they "think" it's back there but I don't know of anyone who has acutally found it and used it.

I've looked back there and can't see it. Maybe it's sideways and at the terrible angle (looking straight up while laying on my back with my chest hitting the glove compartment) it's just hard to make out anything under there.

Again, thanks in advance for the effort!
