145mph is the fastest I have had my GT up to, even in the high desert at about 4300ft I think I could easily have done 150 maybe more. I usually run it up to 110 or so nearly every time I drive it. however keep in mind the roads we have here out west are way more wide open than the roads of the south or back east or even the mid west, like illinois etc. I was on both the utah and nevada side of the border near where they run the silver state classic road race. the roads are so wide open, I ran my dodge ram diesel 4x4 up against the governor at 107 mph, hitting 109 a few times down hill of course for 50-75miles never lifting or slowing from that speed. on a road like that its safe to do it.

my GT is by far the most stable car I have ever driven at those kinds of speeds, the car feels planted and secure.

I rarely ever take it over 105 though... I don't feel safe doing that shiss' in a Mustang. Maybe if I had a vette?

I was also surprised at that with my car. My two previous cars would shake above 80, and when I took my Jetta up to 128, I was nervous. With my 05, there are sometimes on the highway where I'll be cruising along, and look down "wtf 100?" . Very smooth and stable

I’m a little older now so my ***** have shrunk a little. There was a time I saw 105+ almost every day but now I have backed off. I have had this car around 115 and it was still pulling like a monster. I will never top it out but if you guys could take a look at my mods and give me a good guess as to how fast you think I could go I would be thankful. I run 3.27 to 1 gears. I also know the car is faster than the same year vet. I have smoked them stop light to stop light. It is a fast car but I have decided to keep it around the speed limit. It also has around 11psi of boost max. Other than that the rest is on the list.

couple weeks ago, while racing a new camaro ss, last speed i saw was 130. at that point , i wasn't worried about the speed anymore.lol. he didn't even have tags yet. bet he wished he had a mustang.lol
