whipple 11-12PSI pulley
so whipple sent me a 3.250-6 pulley for my SC on my STOCK ENGINE 08 stang. and iam a little worried cause the pulley size is gonna give me 11-12 PSI of boost and i thaught when they sent the SC's they were only gonna b a maximum of 10PSI.

i would assume the tune is for your 11-12 psi pulley, if you have LT's and no cats you will probly see less boost than whats advertised. you could always get a bigger pulley and run less boost. mine is detuned to 7 psi & 449 rwhp for my stock block.

i recently bought a 550 h.p. frpp whipple kit and it has the 3.25 pulley also. i believe the OP and myself want to know what can be done to help prevent the motor from exploding. does LT with no cats help? can we run stock manifolds with off road pipes help protect us? can we detune the motor with the 3.25" pulley? does having 4.10 gears add more stress on the motor?

I get the feeling that the both of you, solidsnake and 07vbluestang are a little apprehensive about running that much boost. I was the same way when I got my whipple and went with a smaller pulley.
From my experience, all the reading and internet searching that I've done I still have not read or heard of two many people blowing their engines with the 3.25 inch pulley. So long as your tune is good you should be fine.
Running O/R mid pipes and long or just a better free flowing is always good. One of the trade off with the O/R exhaust is that they are very loud... I would invest more money in getting a custom dyno tune because every car is different.
Solidsnake with you being in Florida I think it would be a good idea to visit VMP tuning. That race tune might be good but a its hard to beat a custom dyno tune. The tune that lethal provided you with is a good starting point and may need some minor tweeks but nothing major. You know more once you complete the install.
Like onederful said it really comes down to how your treat your car..

Use the procal tool tune to get you to the dyno..I dont know if a new tune could be loaded onto the procal tool..but I think not.

i got so many more!! haha!! so if i get a dyno tune i will have to buy the sct tuner to load the tune on and then load it to my car. i would imagine getting the 1 3/4" long tubes is better than the 1 5/8". if we dont drive more than 5000 miles here in pa. we get emissions exempt. i could probably get away with LT cause there is no emission testing, just a visual. also here near Pittsburgh there's a shop called Rodeheaver's performance. they have dyno days and a guy named Don Lasota flys in to do dyno's.
