LordRipberger thought this thread was going to be about the effect of rock salt on the Mustang. Yeah like the other guys said use sand. I just unhooked the chains from my 80# punching bag and threw that in the trunk.

I stand corrected. 150 lbs of feathers is not as heavy as 150 lbs of bricks, nails, play sand, dead bodies...

This thread brings the Lulz. I guess East didn't get the joke!

Besides, why bother with feathers when you could just stuff Big Bird into your trunk? >:-)

I use 2 bundles of shingles. Doesn't make a mess if the bag breaks, plus if you do happen to get stuck, take out a shingle and stick it under the spinning tire, works like a charm.

I got 2 50# bags of sand in the trunk of mine. Now if I could just figure out how to keep them from sliding all over the trunk.

No truer words have ever been typed. Don't have money for snow tires(slow and steady). You're probably going to slide around a little on the turns no matter what you do.

I use 4 - 25 pound bags of lead shotgun shot.
They fit perfect on the little ledge next to the back of the rear seats
and don't move around.
