awesome looking. those thumb bolsters are very nice when you are cornering hard.

question though. My 2008 Expy has the basic 6 disc changer installed and it has steering wheel controls. Looks exactly like my Shaker 1,000 radio.

I'm wondering if the Shaker 1,000 accepts steering wheel inputs for audio? I might have to swap them out and see.

if so, I am going to buy this steering wheel and just run 2 wires to the radio harness. I love the functionality of messing with the radio with hands on the steering wheel.

I have the repair DVD manuals for 2006-2010 Fords. Think I am going to be digging around and see how the wiring looks.

btw, how much was the steering wheel if you don't mind me asking?

Did Ford give you any type of core refund for returning the original steering wheel? (I'm not sure if you bought it from Ford or a 3rd party.)
I got it through a third party, they don't have any refund for the original wheel to my knowledge... I'm just gunna keep it around just to have a spare =)

Looks nice. Did you reuse the old bolt? I plan to.

Yea I did. I talked to my buddy that works at a dealership, and he told me they don't replace the bolt when they take the steering wheel off. They just use blue locktite. When I had the bolt out I looked it over and it didn't look stressed or deformed. Looked brand new.

GT500 wheel on order (car finally came in Thursday). The steering wheel on the base GT is ugly as sin.

bustacrab ... did you ever find a way to get the wheel mounted audio controls to work with the base head unit?
