I'm planning to build a carPC and program the steering wheel audio controls to do whatever I want. You will need these 2 parts (+ the computer setup of course)

Pac Audio SWI-X to transmit steering wheel button presses to the next item...
MP3Car Universal Infrared Receiver/Transmitter (USB)

I'm jumping on this bandwagon. I love my 2011 GT but the molded plastic wheel makes me crazy.

Are they in stock at partscheap??

I bought one from them 3 weeks ago just haven't had the chance to install it yet. When I ordered it they told me it was backordered, but two days later they sent me an email saying that it was being shipped that day. I have a long weekend this week so I will finially have a chance to put it in.

Yes...I ordered it 2 days ago and yesterday I got the same email. I hope they will ship it soon.

Finally got the steering wheel installed yesterday afternoon. It was about the easiest thing I have done on either of my mustangs. It looks great and everything was just plug and play. Took about 45 minutes total to do once my battery was disconnected for an hour beforehand. The new wheel definately feels better in your hands as well. As stated several times before in this thread, the audio controls do not work but the cruise works perfectly.

Ordered mine from Tousley Ford today. The guy I spoke with said there looked to be a backorder of 30. I guess I will try to be patient...

Mine's backordered too! I ordered a week ago and I'm still waiting...(

Since my 5.0 is in the shop for a trim panel replacement, I got a 2011 V6 Premium as a loaner. I love that steering wheel! But man, it just doesn't sound right...that new V6 is powerful but it just sounds wrong for a mustang.

Ok, so I read all of these the other day but can't remember if my question was answered and don't feel like reading 15 pages again. Has anyone put one of these on a 2009 or newer? If it will mate up I may be the test dummy to see if my aftermarket stereo will work with the audio controls.
