Losing my patience

I actually just called that number...found it on blueoval forums. They are looking into it, but said the information they have currently is that it is still in transit from Astoria, Ohio. And a "specialist" will be looking into the problem with the shipment of my car and call me back within 2 business days.
I think waiting two weeks after the original delivery date with no different information than before was enough time to escalate this.

douglasland, you can go to http://www.blueovalforums.com/forums/index.php?act=idx and register. once there, go to the section entitled "ford employees", inside that forum is another forums for "vehicle locator". Make a post here and there is someone who can reply and tell you exactly where your car is.

Well I was on the phone with Ford for over 30 minutes. The best estimate is that the car is in KS. The car got on a train on 12/31/09 and the expected delivery date to Southern CA was yesterday. Could someone explain why this type of service costs over $800?
To be fair the dealer has never believed the 1/14 date. At the same time the dealer doesn't seem that worried and really isn't willing to engage the shipping folks at this point.
Ford 800 folks were nice but completely unwilling to do anything more than read the same screen my dealer can read. They implored me to engage the dealer as they are the party most able to get any attention from the shipping company.
At this rate I simply want a real date so I can plan my first weekend to enjoy the car. It's getting crazy looking at every truck with a car carrier to see if my car is on it.
Sigh

I hear you. I ordered a $5 mustang keychain and I new when the keychain was packaged, when it left the company, every stop along the wickets until it got here. They more you pay for shipping the more in the know you should be on the shipped item.

As someone who worked for a new car dealership a few years ago (Nissan) DO NOT BELIEVE THEM when they say THEY can't/won't honor the incentives/rebates! As one poster said, they WILL POCKET IT FOR THEMSELVES! I remember having sales managers tell me they do exactly that when I would be working a deal! Part of the reason I quit is because I saw the inside workings from the sales side, and they screw people over like you wouldn't believe with their numbers games and not giving the incentives but keeping them - and the customers never know it.
