Default SCT X3 Tuner - Read all OBDII Vehicles?

I have an SCT X3 tuner that is registered to my vehicle for the tunes and such. Does anyone know if I can use this tuner to read OBDII codes on someone Else's vehicle? It is a Ford vehicle as well. Was not sure if that functionality in the device was vehicle specific?

not to sure here but i would think since the tunes are specifically for ur car and what codes it might throw the tuner would read. so im thinking not. Im interested myself now though. Thanks for striking up my curiosity

FWIW and it was already answered here, but my SCT tuner did indeed read the code from another vehicle with no issues. Didn't clear it, but I assume it would if I wanted to.

Your assumption is correct.

As far as data logging goes. you can do that on any/all vehicles, even when it's locked to one.

Can you clarify "any/all": do you mean vehicles other than Ford?

No. In my experience, my SCT will only read/clear DTCs on other OBDII Ford vehicles.
