Glad to hear you are ok. I would have to agree I think they would total it. since it looks to have made it to the frame. Time to upgrade.

Sorry about your wreck, hopefully the insurance company will give you a decent amount.

I did a smiliar thing on December 17th, (here's the link to the MF thread: https://mustangforums.com/forum/memb...2010-pics.html) it was a 2007 with 31,000 miles on it. The appraiser said the damage was less to repair than the car's value but because of the frame damage, he totaled it. The insurance payout was $21,000, we only had 1 year of payments left. If its a reputable insurance company, they'll probably value your safety over the value.

I say get whatever you will have the most "cush" room with based on what the insurance company pays out. In our case, the payout was so high and based on what we owed, we were able to get a loaded 2010, immediately install exhaust, tune, tint, and we paid off my truck. Had our payout been less, we may have only been able to swing the stang and none of the goodies. Good luck!

IMO, it all depends if you like the updated '10+ looks and if you don't, you need to think if you are willing to sacrafice the looks for more power. If you can't live with it.. well then probably have to go back pre '10 and mod it. Also depends on how soon you need a car and what your financial empire looks like. If you can wait, take a look at the '11 and go from there. Of course you could always test the '11 for us

I wouldn't bother getting a mach1, the price of '03 cobras has been falling a little bit latley, see if you can pick one of those up in your range. The mach1 is cool and all but its quite a bit more than a regular gt and the internals aren't forged like the cobra's
