+1. I think it looks horrible. Ruins a perfectly nice looking car IMO.

Not my cup of tea and I would be worried about installer cutting into the paint. Also if paint get ruined underneath its going to hurt the resale value.

LOL.
Use scoth brite throughout the whole body and you just saved $4000.
You want the gloss back a year later? Break out the Makita with good compound and it's shinny again.

So, the idea is to protect your paint job right?
Problem is, a paint job is about............................................. ...........................$4000, lol.
That's right!!
So you spend $4000 to save $4000?
Mmmmkay...

With how many scratches I'm starting to get from it being a DD I may need to paint or wrap my car. My only issue with wrapping is if you get a chip in the vinyl. Then the original paint shows. The last time I looked into getting the whole car painted it was a lot more than $4k though.

Wow, you guys need to find someone who can paint, I have a buddy who would paint mine I am sure for around $1,000 I would help him prep it tho but normally he gets $1500-2,000 for a paint job.

When I asked/priced it out, it was for a complete color change OEM quality. So yeah, it was going to be expensive. I'm not sure what it will cost to just fix my problem areas.

It's rather thick vinyl compared to what you're used to and is rated for ten years. It was less than $3,000.
WOW, that looks awesome.

I dislike gray cars A LOT but matte is even worse.
Agreed, not worth it IMO
