That is it. There are NO other speakers on the Shaker 500. You can verify this by looking at your car. You will not find any other speakers than this.

Did this change in 2010? Because the front door speakers and the rear deck speakers from 2005-2009 are not 6x8. They're 5x7. I just replaced my door speakers with some new 5x7s and I am about to replace the rear deck ones with 6x8 which is obviously larger.

In the case of Ford 5x7 and 6x8 are the same. You can change the speakers out and put either in without modification. I have 6x8 Kenwood in mine.

This is not true. I think all 5x7 will work, but not all 6x8's will. Some will need modification to fit. I have MTX 5x7/6x8's that didn't line up and needed slight modification.

I thought there were tweeters located somewhere in the dash or the door, but just looked and didn't see them.

Well, I could be wrong. I just know that this is my 9th Ford and they have used the same speakers for years. I have never had a problem putting in a 6x8 in any of them and I have replaced the speakers in all of them. Ford factory speakers are freakin terrible.

I will document the rear deck speaker install with pics, since it doesn't seem to exist on the web. There will probably be a few pics of me cursing and pulling my hair. Just ignore those

The manual must be wrong.
Like I said, that could be for the Shaker 1000 system. The service manual will take the 'lowest common denominator' approach. (In other words, "IF you have speakers here, this is how you get at them.) But there may not be speakers there unless you have the Shaker 1000 system.

Any Shaker 1K owners around to verify?
