Default Changed out front and back speakers

I changed out the fronts for Boston Acoustics S55s and the rears with S85s. Sound is so much better. Like night and day. The standard Ford speakers are really nothing more than paper speakers. They are crap to say the least.

Front install actually took longer than the rear but well worth the time and investment.

Bough the speakers from Crutchfield. They through in the harnesses for free. Shipping was free and they were very easy to deal with. Would order there again in a heartbeat.

The sound now is amazing. No need to change out the subs as they pound out the base just fine. Even noticed I don't need as much volume now as I did before with much better sound.

+1 on the S85's as I just installed a set in the doors of my vert and they sound so much clearer than the cheaply made stockers. I still need to pick up a set for the rears, but in no hurry since my top is usually dropped and I keep the Shaker in "Convertible mode", which I believe pushes most of output to the fronts anyhow.

But shop around when buying them as Crutchfields is on the high end. I picked up my fronts used, but found a set for the rear on Amazon for $57 shipped.

My stock system is a Shaker 500. New speakers are very compatible with it and sound great.

Default Speakers

I upgraded the speakers in my '06 GT 'vert with Sony XS-V680HP speakers front and rear. I also upgraded the door woofers with the Shelby units. Made my Shaker 500 sound system noticably better.
