I have to say that my favorite aftermarket hood has to be the California Dream hood.

Just reminds me of the 1968 Shelby.

If i ever get rid of this fake scooped hood I'm getting one of those.

Are those vents functional? It does look good!

Yes. Its a "ram air" hood. there are channels that direct the air over your filter.

those vents are functional, but i think it just flows the air over the engine for cooling, or at least some ive seen are like that, i dont think it has a duct that leads to the intake like my hood does.

I say repaint your existing stripes....I always did think your car stood out because of them. I am not so much into that particular hood you found on ebay.

I do like that one too. A nice change of pace but not too loud. A 4" cowl on my car just wouldn't work. I don't have enough mods under the hood to back up the look. This is nice.

Thanks.

That's why I'm asking.

The only aftermarket hoods I'd trust on quality are Cervini, TruFiber, and Foose.

If I had a black car I'd get carbon fiber, otherwise, no (although I am thinking about painting one white and instead of black stripes leave the carbon fiber exposed). I really like the first hood - I am looking for something similar. My only concern buying from eBay is how much work it may or may not require before it is ready to paint and install.

Cervinis sells hoods painted on their website... might be easier than getting a hood off of ebay perfectly fixed and everything.... Im pretty sure Pascal would know about making a fiberglass hood perfect...
