Default Shelby Razor Wheel, 18x9

Help me out please, for all that have the Shelby/AR Razor Wheel, 18x9. I am getting conflicting reponses on whether or not they require HUBCENTRIC RINGS or not. Tire Rack includes the rings and lug nuts in their package, and everyone else does not. According to the Mustang specs, the wheel hub is 70.5mm and the hub bore of the Razor is 72.6, which would be a gap difference of 2.1mm. This tells me that the wheel is not Hubcentric with the Mustang, and thus require a HUBCENTRIC RING to center the wheel. There have been a lot of Razors sold ou there, what is everybodies experiences? How is the balancing/vibrations?

I have no vibrations and I went to Discount Tire and had mine installed. I do not recall having to pay for any special ring to mount my tires.

Call up discount tire and ask them.

Thumbs up Hub Centering rings for Razors

I've had a set of 18X9's Razors for two years now... I recommend you use a ring on these wheels. If you decide to race/lap your car and really push your wheels, then I suggest you obtain a metal (aluminum) set. [I melted my plastic ones last year].
Simple reason is that the wheel sits more accurately and 'centered' on the spindle- less vibration and hummm. I have my wheels 'on car balanced' for an incredible feel on the track and for everyday driving and the technician recommended them as well. Most non-OEM wheels could benefit from a set of rings... and yes, some people don't use them and wouldn't know the difference between using them and not... your mm sizing is correct.
Good luck!

as a reference, I have wheels with a 74mm OD, I have some steering wheel vibration. I just ordered some hub rings that will hopefully remedy the issue.

I will update this post on Friday if it's still on the first page.
