Default Rear end gears, how do I know what I have?

How do I find out what rear end gears my fiancee's 2007 GT with the manual tranny has? Is there a code sticker on the car somewhere? What rear gears did these cars come with? Thanks.

My 05 GT has a tag on the rear end pumpkin... 3:55. The 3:55's were a option in 05... not sure what the standard gear was.

There's a sticker on the rear axle pumpkin as stated above plus there's a code on the driver's door jam sticker although I don't recall the code. I'd bet she has 3.55's. Most manual GT's in '07 came with the 3.55's as an option if I recall.

Was that you that placed an ad for a g/f: "Wanted-wife. Must own Mustang GT. Send pics of car."

I heard 05/06 are 3.55, 07-09 are 3.31, and 05-09 automatics are 3.31.

And something like 05/06 3.55 is the standard, no option. For 07, 3.55 were a 100$ option, 08 a 300$ option, and 09 a 500$ option?

No, that wasn't me. I had her before she had the mustang.

I guess I will have to crawl under there to see what it says. Thanks guys.

If all else fails mark the drive shaft and turn the tire one time around.

But that doesn't give the code for 3.31, limited slip, GT with manual transmission. I think I remember someone posting that the code for that is the same as the automatic (CG).

I found out that the car has the 3.55 gears. My GF went to the dealer today to get the passenger side airbag recall done and they gave her the info on the gears.
