Last year I installed a Centerforce DF. It blew the slave cylinder after about 1600 miles. Further research revealed I wasn't the only one. The pressure plate is too stiff for the factory slave.

I replaced it with a McLeod RST which has worked great since installation.

Just trying to save you from what I went through.

there's this one, but it's more of an overview
than a detailed writeup.

https://mustangforums.com/forum/4-6l...ion-guide.html

there's a few guys on the forum who have done their
own clutch, so if you have a specific question maybe
we can help.

getting the old pilot bearing out can sometimes be a
challenge. i saw a great idea on youtube, where a guy
used small pieces of wet newspaper (instead of grease)
to fill up the hole. after a few cycles of compressing
and adding more wet paper, the bearing comes out.

good luck and we are here to help.

Ok cool I thought I read somewhere that a new slave cylinder would rub on something so you had to shave it not sure where but I'm just hoping everything will go in smooth and no fit problems I just bought a haynes manual so that will help

Pilot Bearing Removal Here's the link to the bearing removal procedure using wet paper. Pretty cool.
