I had a Performance Shop reinstall the OEM UCA and check for any other possible damages that may have occurred and they said that the Steeda UCA was 2 inches longer then the OEM UCA and Dave at the shop as always chewed on me for not seeing the difference when I did the initial Install...

I had a rear end howl or at least thats what I thought it was. So did my dealer, they ordered new gears and install kit per the TSB on the issue. At the time I told them the drivtrain had a vibration in it at any speed above 60. They told me there was nothing they could or would do about it. I said whatever and ordered a shaftmasters 1 piece aluminum shaft. I installed it two days ago and no more vibration and no more rearend noise. I think the carrier bearing was bad in my stock driveshaft not the rear gears. I have not spoke to the dealership about the new gears yet because they are still on order. If its not broke I won't let them mess with it.

I asked the person I spoke with how much this .400 would change pinion angle. Although he wasn't quite sure he guessed 2-3.5 degrees. He added that it is either .100 or .150 of an inch for every 1 degree of change. I thought that since SteveB eliminated his harmonic vibration by returning to the OEM control arm and length that this might be useful info to anyone encountering harmonic vibration with aftermarket suspension components since it didn't take much of a change for him to start experiencing harmonics at 78 mph to eliminating them.
I guess this leads to the question: Do we really need an adjustable UCA or can we count on Steeda's UCA for lowered stangs(FRPP in my case) to be the correct length? Especially considering all mustangs are not lowered alike.

One other question I have is: Can I check the pinion angle on my current stock DS and expect a comparable number once I install a new 1 piece? I'm still on the fence about this mod although the issue's posted on the forums these days seem to be resolved alot more frequently than in the past I must admit.

I would not and do not consider the adjustable LCA as an option here because I see to many possible issue's with making sure both LCA's are adjusted correctly to keep everything square. I do however have Steeda's non adjustable billet LCA's just waiting for relo brackets hopefully next month along with my Steeda adj P/H bar and brace.
