Very first mod...

I know what a good shifter can add for sure. I dont know that I can put one in myself, so i dunno. I think at this point Im going to stick with a Steeda CAI and SF3, then attempt an exhaust job myself. I have heard the exhaust is something that can be done fairly easily in a drive way. Im definitely no mechanic but ive seen the install vids and it looks like something I can do. Anyone know if I have to replace the stock mid pipes and headers when installing a catback system? What would the performance benefits be if I were to replace everything from the axel to the header rather thanjust the catback. Thanks guys, I appreciate the advice.

Exhaust installation is so easy a cave man could do it haha. But seriously changing mufflers is a half hour job for an old woman. On these cars changing the mufflers wont do anything for performance, sound only. Adding an off road mid pipe (catless) will open it up a bit more and let it breathe while getting you a few extra ponies and making it a lot louder. Shorty headers are really a waste of money IMO almost no power gains and hardly a difference in sound. Long tubes on the other hand will provide a very nice number in HP and torque.
The first thing you got to decide is how loud you want it, how much you wanna spend and what your long term goals are with the car.
