2000 vs 2011 interior

LOL - I was too afraid to bring up the rear-end. I actually kind of liked it when I first saw it. Still feel the same.. it pushes the car into a "euretro" (c) Me ...laugh. I can see how some would dislike it but I think its good. I also like the ground effects - plastic. It will help protect and I think adds to the car.

I also love the look of all of the "cheap, black plastic" on the 10's. In fact I purposely bought a lighter color cause I like the visual contrast it provides all around. Especially the "mutton chops" around the front. If you look at an 05-09 they look much bulkier whereas the 10's look lean.
As far as the interior goes.....uh no, the sn-95's suffered from Ford's "decontenting" era. When first introduced in '94 the sn-95 interiors were nice for the time but by the time 2004 had rolled around it had aged badly and was stripped out of many small detail type of things.

Not your fathers Mustang this 2010 is civilized
I traded-in a 2003 SVT 10th Anniversary Mustang (19,000 miles) for my 2010 loaded Black on Black.
I miss the power I had, a lot, but don't miss the leg press clutch, the shift lever always just out of reach and sprung loaded so tight that after a few hours you wanted to use your foot. Pulling it out of one gear and putting it into another was like one of those exercise machines you see advertised on tv. I use to carry a bottle of Advil in the glove box. The door panel was against the seat and also your shoulder. The kicker was I was getting too old to crawl out of beast. Boy, I loved that car... dropping the clutch, lighting it up and setting alarms off everywhere really put a smile on my face.
Lately I've been dreaming of superchargers and grinning. I hope the clowns in Washington don't bring us $7.00 gas.

I only comment on the rear when the topic is about the appearance of the 2010 or the thread is related to purchasing a new Mustang. Please Note: I recently complemented wilkinda on the look of his 2010 GT500 wheels on his car and never mentioned anything about the rear in his thread.
I have stated countless times that I liked the direction Ford has taken with the 2010+ Mustang: interior, side profile, front (in that order). When you see these views, anybody will tell you that is a Mustang. But the rear doesn't scream Mustang IMO; it has a euro/asian look to it. But as we have found out, since the 2010 was released Ford picked up customers that were previous drivers/shoppers of G35/37's, BMW 3 Series, etc...
Like anything that is new and shocking, the new rear is growing on me as I start to see more 2010's on the road. I still think it is the least attractive part of the car, and I would not purchase one with the same drivetrain that I have now. But I agree with Gene K, I could forgive a few sins for the new 5.0!
I will probably keep my car until the 2014 redesign though. Not just because of the rear of the car, but because I like the look of the 05-09 better (more retro) and I still enjoy driving my 2008 Mustang GT. It won't be paid off until 2012 as I will take advantage of the 1.9% interest rate to the end of the term. By then, I might as well wait to see what Ford in store for us on the 2014.
