2000 vs 2011 interior

interior is (IMO) the sweetest Mustang interior ever produced........

While agree with your assessment of the current Mustang's evolution(being the most developed & refined of the breed), I absolutely disagree that the current car is the best Mustang ever(overall). Car makers have to concede so much due to EPA & DOT standards that the beauty of a 60's Mustang can never be recreated. Park a 2010 Mustang GT next to a '69 Boss 429 & see which one grabs your attention. By the way, the '67 Shelby GT350/500

Mustang GT vs a Boss 429 not a very far comparison. U going to do that then park a 2011 GT500 to be fair. I guess saying the 2011 mustang is to vague then i will clarify the 2011 GT500 mustang is the best mustang ever made ;o). I will agree though the cars u mention are sweet rides no doubt about that.

So you'd rather have a 2011 GT500 over a '69 Boss 429? Ha ha ha, just poking fun. I'd be scared crapless to drive a Boss 429 ANYWHERE, just getting road grime on it makes me cringe To be honest, my dream Mustang is a '71 Boss 351 in either Pewter or Red(no rear spoiler!). Go to YouTube, there's a Grabber Lime Boss 351 being loaded onto a carrier, the exhaust note makes you melt........

You couldn't take him with a 1980 Trans Am? The 80 Trans Am had a 6.6 liter (~403 CID) fuel injected and you lost to carburated vehicle? Granted the Trans Am was a heavier vehicle, but I would think it would at least be even.

Hahahaha(LMAO). A Boss 351 had an 11:1 C/R, solid lifter cam and was under rated by Ford at 330bhp(more like 400hp), the '80 Trans Am was a 301 Pontiac V-8 with 155hp(210hp if it was a Turbo version), the 400 Pontiac V-8 & 403 Olds V-8 only lasted until 1979(all ran carburetors) and neither made more than 220hp and would be mince meat by a Boss 351(which ran high 13's in stock form and could be "super tuned" to run low 13's). Burt Reynolds wouldn't have known what hit him-lol

I'll take your word for those numbers, but man that sounds weak. I have a Dodge 318 that stock numbers are 230HP, and that's on a truck. I had a '75 Catalina with a Pontiac 455 for which I don't know the HP numbers but it had plenty of power for such a heavy car. I would have expected a bit more out of a Trans Am. Disappointing indeed.

Hey chronos, check out this site. It's amazing how slow the "muscle" cars were in the mid/late 70's early 80's (actually most of the '80s).
Your V6 would humiliate that TA.
"1980 Pontiac Firebird Turbo Trans Am 9.0 17.0" And that's the turbo!!
