Dealership drove my car into a pond. FMYLIFE....updated!!

dealership drove my car into pond....end story
Well it's going through my insurance. Since Ford denies any involvement in remote starting my car. Tomorrow I have to pay $550 to get my car released and towed back to my house. I have to pay for the tow out of their pond. Then when home I will strip anything I can sell or make money off of. Then after the weekend, my insurance will tow it to a junk yard somewhere. I'm looking at new cars, but it's hard when you get so little money back from your car being TOTALED.
Any idea for another equal sports car that's not a FORD.

THIS IS NOT FORD'S FAULT. IT IS THE DEALERSHIP'S FAULT.
Call a freaking lawyer!!! Why are you taking this lying down? Because the dealership told you to?

I have a number for my lawyer over in Clearwater. This isn't really his field, but he may be able to recommend someone. Let me know if you want his number

If they are denying starting your car and letting it drive into the pond... how are they saying it got there?!
edit: Also, you may be wrong, you may be in the right. but don't let the dealership decide that. let them talk to a lawyer and see what is figured out.
And being prejudice against a car type is dumb. Your bad experience was with the dealer, not the vehicle. When I go out to eat somewhere and the service sucks, i dont go back to that restaraunt. I don't however, give up going out to eatin general, i just go somewhere else!!

TJNR.
Car was in dealership's hands. They should be responsible, regardless of the remote start (if it were or was not wired right). They shouldn't be playing with the toys and pressing buttons. I don't know their story, but regardless, the car ended up in the pond somehow on their end, not because of you. This shouldn't be the outcome.

Unless there is more to this story than we know all the responsability with your car ending up in the pond lies with the dealer. The car was in their possesion when this happened therefore they were the owner of the car at the time of the accident. This is no different than if they were test driving your car after a repair and totalled it in an accident that was deemed the be their fault. You should have your insurance sue them for damages. This is why you have insurance.

the GD dealership shouldnt be using the F'n remote start anyGDways. that is not a convenience that you installed for them. you installed it for someone responsible like yourself. dude get a lawyer and the stealership will back down. or you can get money and buy a damn challenger.

Everyone says get a lawyer but no one is suggesting how to pay for one. Contact the lawyer friend that Chris07GT recommends and see what they say. I'm not an expert, but I can't see enough money in this whole ordeal that would pay off the lawyer and have you come out ahead at the same time.
Talk to your insurance company as well. What are they recommending? Maybe they can leverage their lawyers against the dealership if you make a claim.
Escalate the problem to the dealership's owner. Don't stop at the General Manager or service manager. Keep complaining. Threaten to take the issue to the local news. You brought the car in for service, now you have to replace the car. it may not be 100% dealer fault, but there's percentage of fault nonetheless.
You just lost a $20k+ car. Don't give up so easily.
