Like Demon said it's on Autoblog and so it is getting alot of attention, so the dealership/Ford is going to get a bad name if they don't do anything about it. Just hang in there and get a lawyer and fight this!

I was thinking about this earlier...

While I side with the dealer in this situation because of bypassing the safety switch, who would pay if a friend borrowed the car and accidentally drove it into a pond? The friend, right? Why not the dealer then?

There must be something more to the story if he's just backing out like that.. IMO.

If someone did accidentally drive my car into a pond and told me it was my fault... nu uh. Isn't going to stop like this.

So if you bypassd your safety mechanism.... didn't disarm your bastardized system before loaning it to your friend and did not mention that it had a remote system installed that would actually start the car if it were in gear ... you would still blame and expect your friend to pay?? Not much of a friend I would say. If I was that friend I would hire an attorney and take legal action if I were injured, hurt anyone else, or was being sued by you due to your negligence of install and purposely bypassing the safety measures.

That's why if there is something special about your car, and someone NEEDS to know, you tell them before you give them the keys.

What if you told him and he still did it?

Unless the OP tells us that he notified the dealer of his safety bypassed remote starter system we will never know if the dealer knew....

But to be fair... let's hear it !!
