Default Free/cheap DIY mods?

Well, I'm out for Spring Break this week and I'm starting to get cabin fever. I need something to do to the car, either inside or out, preferably cheap. Already did the po' boy's shorty antenna. Anybody got any other ideas of anything?

Eric

Edit: I guess I should be a bit more specific; I'd like something I don't have to order.. I'm all about instant gratification.

go to walmart and get some 50% tint. Then remove the front turn signals on your car and tint them and then reinstall them. The car looks 100 times better without the bright turn signals sticking out. A big roll of tint costs like 7 bucks. You can do the side markers and fog lights too if you are really bored.

if i had a free week, i would wash, claybar, polish, and wax my car, then do the interior as well

It's funny that you mention that, I just bought and used some VHT spray, did the taillights and markers/signals. You're right, it makes a HUGE difference. Thanks for the suggestion though, I appreciate it.

Dont forget you can paint the interior parts to, like the speaker surrounds if you have them, center console, door trim you can also add piping to the doors also. paint the brakes or wheels for that matter.

I have spent less than $50 on ebay and done the following this past week:

door pins
LED map bulbs
LED license plate bulb
Clear side markers

I was bored too and wanted some fun, cheap, quick mods...

Just remember if you put window tint on plastic, Plastic constantly produces gas (fumes) and will eventually ruin the tint by bubbling and what not.

Clean up and paint your brake calipers. Real cheap; highly visible.

I was reading through the Tacobill how-to section, I saw a thread on painting stock wheels. I've been thinking about saving up and having the rims powdercoated, but if I can paint them, I'd be all for it. Only problem, I don't have the stock wheels; I have big ol' chrome 20's. I hate them, personally, so I'm not too afraid to experiment with these. Would I need to get the chrome media blasted, or would sanding the hell out of them suffice?
