Hahaha, hohohoho, heeheehee... After just doing a swap, I can offer this advice.
If you can trade for a '10 GT, DO IT! Pull off your suspension upgrades, put them on a GT. Even doing it yourself, it's a lot to it and a lot of work. Paying for someone else to do the swap would probably cost at least $2000, if I had to guess, just for labor, and there was relatively little to no issues. Plus cost of all parts, misc., etc.

For engine, stick to a 4.6L 3V.
You'll need a engine wiring harness and PCM that are compatible with your car, preferably from a '10 GT. You'll need a transmission; the V6 bellhousing is different. A/C lines, p/s lines, exhaust, fuel lines, coolant hoses, etc.

+1 to checking out MustangCollective; there's several sticky's and numerous swap/build threads over there.

But, after doing the swap, I have to say, it was well worth it!

Personally I'd never swap out a perfectly good, new engine for anything on ebay. The only thing I would even consider swapping it for would be a fully Dyno'd crate from a reputable source.

The way I see it is this... If I was changing out my 4.6 for something better and not keeping it, I'm definitely beating the living sh*t out of it before I swap...

I think most people would. Or maybe it's from a totaled GT..Either way I'd stick with the new v6 anyday. With a swap comes much headache and potential for disaster.
