Default Scratched wheel. What should I do?

I have 20 inch black with a polished lip Godspeed Omegs on my gt and I recently had a tpms sensor go bad. So I took it to the tire shop that is part of my local ford dealership. They said they could fix it and the booger eater drove my car around to the back of the shop. My sales guy who is also best friend shows up and tells them not to let said booger eater touch my wheels. They say a different booger eater is going to do it so that my wheel doesnt get scratched. I wait for about an hour and a half an then I walked around the back of the shop to find several booger eaters standing there galking at my wheel. I love to look at them too so I thought it was maybe just them admiring there beauty. Then I thought..... Thats probably not why they are staring. It dawned on me.. they scratched my wheel. Then the douche bag that works the desk comes out and says (in as big of a douche bag voice that you can think of) "Well, I know why they didn't want to do it at the dealership. Cause, Uhmm, we scratched your wheel. So can you bring it in on thursday round ten or leven so our wheel guy can fix it?"

The booger eater didnt put anything down to protect the front of the wheel and just slapped it on there scratchig the crap out of my wheel. So I guess I am an idiot cause I am agreeing to let the try to fix it. But if its not perfect I am going to make them buy me a wheel. Thanks for listening to my gripe and I almost feel better. but thats because I am inside typing not out looking at it. It just sucks to look at my car with a jacked up wheel. Do you think I should let them try or make them just get me a new wheel? My wife is pissed cause I have had them on there for about a month and they are already scratched.

Aw shoot, sorry ya poor bastard... I feel for ya!

I just bought a set of new wheels & tires and brought them to be mounted & balanced at a local Tire Warehouse. Before they touched the wheels, I told all 3 guys that "There is a TIP involved for you guys if this comes out PERFECT without a scratch on them!" When they finished an hour later, there wasn't a mark on them and they even remembered to put the balance weights on the back side of the wheels! I GAVE EACH GUY A $10 TIP & paid the $15/wheel with GREAT pleasure.

TIP = to insure performance.

I took my brand new wheel to a Firestone tire shop to have a tire mounted to it so I could "test" the look on my car. They did just as you said, scratched/dented it something awful attempting to reverse mount it. They said the same thing, too, they would have it "repaired". Came back and it looked positively awful. I said no way and they bought me a new wheel. Good luck.

That sucks. I think you should let them try to repair it, and if it still looks crap, make them buy a new one. You should probably tell them that ASAP.

I'd be mad if a booger eater damaged my Godspeeds. The guy that did my sensors protected the hell out of my wheels, he would not keep any booger eaters working for him. Make the BEs uy you a new one!

So I called the GM of the dealership and talked to him. He said that if I wasnt satisfied to call him and he would take care of it. So I wanted to make sure they were still available and called CruizinConceptsWholesale. They said they only have one left soooooooooooo if the fix looks crappy and CCW sells that wheel then what? Whole new set? Just cause a idiot at a tire shop thought he knew what he was doing or just thought "wheel is a wheel" Somebody needs to teach him that a 20 inch aluminum wheel is not a steely of a escort. I am so pissed still and my dad keeps rubbing it in. I went out for a drive and its all I thought about.

Make them buy you a new one and then take the scratched one and sell it for a bit of $
Or keep it as a "back up" in case you damage one of your others accidently.

They tried to fix it and failed.... They painted a gloss wheel with falt paint. then told me it was perfect. The GM passed me off to my sales person who shouldnt even be involved and now I have ordered a wheel after my sales gu argued on my behalf. I am having a good friend remount and balance the new wheel. No chance they are touching it again.
