idiot question, weight compare between gt and gt500

True...not always..but in my case where I have a 06 GT and a GT500...the bigger... beefier is extremely better...my GT is putting down 300rwhp...11.6 lbs per hp...the Shelbly is 550 rwhp...7.1 lbs per hp...and the hand built 5.4 can take a lot more then the stamped out 4.6 (unless it is rebuilt with forged internals)...
Now, let's drop a SC on the GT and re-evaluate this. 500 HP on a GT will rival, and probably beat the 550-600 HP on the GT500 due to weight savings.

A positive displacement blower like a Whipple will add on average 120lbs to the car, a centrifugal will add roughly 80 - 100 depending on intercoolers etc...
