Drag Radials, Traction, and ETs
If I am not really having traction issues at the track, But would getting some Radials improve my ETs at all? Right now I am only reving to about 1200 on the stock converter in my auto, I have nitto 555s which i drop to 18psi for the track.

I have 285 35 x 18 Nitto 555s on my GT Auto, and I couldn't get decent traction and would spin the tires way too much. I went to MT 275 x 40 x 17 drag radials and dropped 4 tenths on my overall ET. I went from 13.571 to 13.181.

If your on the regular street 555, your hurting yourself by under inflating it arnt you? IIRC a street radial with the stiff sidewalls and band and such will not respond the same and your making a weaker contact patch. I haven't been down the strip in mine yet, but done a ton of reading. Unless something has changed that was the general consensus.

I guess it would allow him to launch at more than 1200rpms, which would equal lower 60s and ultimately lower times, however, your user name implies you have a 6 cylinder...unless you're s/c'd or turbo'd, you should be able to launch a bit higher without spinning...I can launch at 1500 without spinning and just slipping the clutch and I have 340RWHP in my N/A monster with 4.10s....
