Default Well, mid pipe isn't gonna solve raspiness...now what...

I thought the cams might help out with the raspiness, but they didn't. I thought an H-pipe would help...went to swap the X-pipe out today and low and behold, it already had an Hpipe (stupid me for just assuming).

So now what? I have axle back magnaflows. I heard that moving them in front of the axle can help. I also heard swapping out for SLP Loudmouths can help too. Would I add the loudmouths to the Magnaflows or replace the Magnaflows??

Thanks

Doing the Pypes mid muffler system seems to be a hot setup to reduce drone and kill raspy sounds.

Others have built their own system, M80 mufflers before the axle and SLP loudmouths replacing the rear mufflers.

Do you have the Magnapak model on your car? If so your gonna get that raspiness unless you put resignators or change the mufflers completely.

I'm not sure...they were on the car before I got it. Its just mufflers and tips from what i've seen and i'm pretty sure the tips are attached to the mufflers.

How "raspy" do you think it'd be with just SLP Loudmouths?? I might just add those. I'm not worried about how loud it is, just don't want that rasp

Here is my experience with magnapacks:
Magnapacks/stock catted H-deep.
Magnapacks/O/R prochamber deep at idle but raspy at mid to upper rpms.
Magnapacks/Prochamber w/hi-flows deep sounding.

O/R midpipes no matter if x,h, or prochamber tend to sound raspy at certain RPMS.

I have something similar. I have resonators/glasspacks and slp loudmouths.

With the stock catted H SLPs are not raspy. If you go with a catted X it will be a little raspy but still sound awesome. You might also want to consider MACs.

You could either have resonators/glasspacks or hi-flow cats welded in. Either one will take care of the raspiness.
