Default Help me choose my Clutch----which brand?

Replacing the clutch, pressure plate, and throw out bearing in my Mustang.

Which brand offers the BEST clutch?

Centerforce
Spec
McCleod
Fidanza

Please suggest.

what do you mean by best?

i have a CF DF in my 2007, love it. for a DD it is great, not too heavy, feels almost like stock and grabs very well.

i also have a SPEC stage 2 in my 2000. it is much heavier, a little noisier, grabs good too.
but for a DD i would go with the CF DF over the spec stage 2.

Spec is awful in an S197. If you aren't getting a supercharger get a Ceterforce Dual Friction.

If you are getting a supercharger later get a Centerforce DFX or McCleod Twin Disc.

Thanks guys. By "best" I meant closest to OEM feel. I don't want a heavy clutch as this is my daily driver. I want one that is quiet, grabs well, works well with the OEM slave cylinder for years to come, easy actuation, and has some potential for a little more power later on.

I was leaning towards the Centerforce before I posted, I just need some more input from those that have used the various offerings.

Spec is actually really good, they are reliable and comfortable for your DD

Im using a spec 3. I like this clutch. Plenty of grab. You could prolly do a 2/2+ and be just like oem. A little more security with a 2+. I don't know why people like to hate on Spec. No problems with mine.

You don't need more than a stock replacement with what you got.

But if you are adding a S/C, what would you recommend?
