Default A good weekend, new grill and craigslist gold

My 3d carbon eleanor grill came on Friday and installed it Saturday. Found some easy instructions on mustang monthly, did not remove bumper cover and it was installed in less than a hour. I really was bored with the stock grill, and I always liked the eleanor look, so I am stoked.

Posted a wanted ad on craiglist for some 17x8 stock mustang rims and had a guy call me within a few hours whom had two. Picked them up today for $100....whatta deal!!! Gonna order some of these:

Anybody drive these on the street? Was hoping to mount them at home then drive the 30 miles to my track. Good or bad idea? Was also thinking about painting the wheels black. Did a search and found quite a few threads about painting your wheels. Being that they are track only wheels I am not worried about it looking perfect to say the least. I will have no more excuses at the track now though..........time to finally break into the 12's. My best sixty foot with street tires has been 2.10, but usually its 2.15

yikes, I'd only use those soley for the track... no use risking life and limb for it. Plus, it'll save the tread

nice grill.

Those tires that bad for the street? I might slide off the cliffs down into the ocean driving home? LOL

Which ones did you finally purchase?

No threads dude lulz

if you want something for the street, you'll want street drag radials and not full slicks.

you can run them but I'd swap them instead.

I might get some M&H drag radials or Nitto NT05 on some 17x10s

I want some steelies though, nothing too flashy.

changing out the tires might seem like a pain to do every time you go to the track, but it's more of a pain running 13s when you can be running mid 12s lol

i definitely wouldn't run those tires on the highway either
