http://www.roadfly.com/new-cars/wp-c...ring-wheel.jpg
thats the steering wheel for the basic model, i wanted to know if the left side was for cruise control and what the right side was for.

i'm close to purchasing a new 2011 mustang and just wanted to know what these buttons were for since my sales person didn't know.

They are all for the cruise control. On/Off, set/resume all control the cruise.

That's a wheel for a '05-'09 model and the '10-'11s are different. But the two on the left are to turn cruise control on/off and the right are to adjust speed of cruise control.

Alec is correct, but the buttons are the same on the base '11 wheel.

Wow that's interesting... I didn't realize Ford re-used the 05-09 base model wheel for the 10-11 base model.

That's out of a base 2011 V6. Same buttons, all are cruise control. The left side has cruise control ON and OFF. The right side has RES and speed - and +.

Your salesman didn't didn't know what the buttons on the steering wheel do? I'd move on; don't reward him for this basic car factoid.

All basic 2011 model GTs have the steering wheel shown in the picutre, that is the one mine has. The picture in the link shows the steering wheel of the premium interior with the Sync steering wheel.

I have yet to see a non-premium 10-11 interior in person. Im sure they are out there, but just not around me apparently.
