Hello all,
So I just got my vortech V3 (non intercooled) kit installed a couple of days ago,pretty happy so far,wish I'd went ahead and popped for the cooled set up tho :P . anyways,I had the hood up showing my dad and I noticed an odd noise.I don't want to say a grinding noise so much as a noise that sounds more like ... umm...a stiff bristled brush combing against metal maybe? I poked around in the engine bay trying to locate the noise and as close as I can tell the noise is coming from the supercharger unit itself.It's not super loud as I don't hear it with the hood down or while I'm driving,only when i've got the hood up and i'm standing close to the supercharger.Is this normal or something I should be worried about? thoughts?

Well,I don't think it's the normal SC whine as I can also hear the SC whine separately.I'll see if i can get a video up later today after I get back home from work.

The gates belt the kit comes with is stretched get a 120mm belt used on a twin alternator 1995 diesel suburban, changing the belt can be a pain but this will get rid of all your problems.
