Has anyone added 8's to the front doors of a stock sound system?

I am putting a 10" Sundown Audio in a .5 cu/ft sealed box in the trunk. I've got a Kenwood KAC-7204 powering the sub (500Wx1 RMS) to handle all the lows. I've built an enclosure which covers most of the bottom side of the rear deck to seal-up the factory 5x7's and protect them from the beating from the Sundown 10.

I was thinking of using a 4 channel amp on 8's in the doors with either the Polk DB
5x7's or maybe components.

Any thoughts?

what's the frequency range you're going for?

I have a Kenwood DNX-891HD deck with iDataLink Maestro integration feeding the rear 5x7's that I upgraded to Polk 2-ways, eq'd to 100hz on the low, then I have a Hi-Fonics 5000.5 5-Channel feeding Polk Momo 5/14" Components in the doors eq'd to 100hz up front and then the still stock 8's in the doors from 50hz-400hz, and then a Dayton DVC 12" sub in the trunk from 20hz-80hz.

I have been meaning to replace the stock 8's in the doors, but with a good amplifier they aren't actually that bad and take a lot of power. They are sufficient as sub bass even, for someone being cheap, but if you are installing a sub you can take that away from them so they aren't overworked and they sound great. I intend on replacing them with Dayton 8's that I found that go well with an infinite baffle, and are fairly shallow, but it's been low on the priorities since the stock speakers haven't given me much grief yet.

Very Nice!

I'll probably add my sub and see how it sounds. Those Polk MOMO's look good, so I might look into those or just the Polk DB 5x7's.
If I can get some 8's in my doors (I have the base speakers, no subs) I'd probably do that, since I have a couple of amps around in my garage.

db571's are okay. Massive difference between those and how the Momo's sound. I have those for the rear's providing little more than just slight rear fill

I'm sure there is a huge difference between the DB's and the MOMO's
