I have a 5G 30GB IPod that's 5 years old. On my 2010 Taurus, it only indexes after I've sync'ed it with ITunes to add/remove podcasts - once or twice per week. It only takes about 2 minutes to Index and since I have a lot of old music that I downloaded from Lymewire, a lot of stuff doesn't Index at all so I get the "Sync could not index all the...". I just hit the Pause button on the Sync system twice and it goes back to playing whatever I had going.

Two times in the last 18 months, I've had the system tell me that it was rebuilding the voice commands - but within a few seconds, it was back up and playing fine.

Maybe I'm just lucky or it's the ancient IPod that I have.
