I've had several muscle cars and put alot of miles on them. 69 GTX, 69 Chevelle 396, 70 Nova 396, and a 72 Challenger with a wicked 383 (built to the hilt), My 08 GT is my favorite so far. It's the most comfortable, best handling, best looking, and most trouble free of the lot. Plus it moves along pretty good too.

I can already see myself keeping this car for the rest of my life. One day there might be an SUV out on the street, but the Mustang will be in the garage ready to go.
Your sig pic looks like a dealer off of E-bay that sells some clean cars, TexasDirect, or something like that. A friend of mine bought a car from them and it was clean. Did you buy your car from these guys?

LOL @ sig police.....

The thing that gets me is every time I decide to sell my car and buy another x-brand performance car I go to their forums first to investigate and see what owners are saying. Their forum sites are rife with problems. Trans problems, diffs grenading, front end problems, rear end problems, clutches failing at <20k etc. The S197 is just a well built car, especially considering all the guys here pushing 450-500whp with ZERO ISSUES. They weren't designed for near that power output yet they hold up just fine. You won't find a better built car.

I've actually been asked this multiple times, and the answer is yes Texas Direct Auto. They pretty much let me test drive whatever I wanted, however long I wanted (I only live 5 minutes from their showroom) So I got to drive a Lexus IS F, an SRT8 Challenger (automatic though, I was bummed it wasn't manual) and a Shelby GT500 clone.

Really clean car, the pictures are nice too cause they take them in a white walled room with florescent lighting. But the car really does look that good up close too!

Sorry for threadjack.

Love my car I've had it just about 3 yrs and 10,000 miles it will always have a home in my garage next to the last new car I bought 25 yrs ago. It's always a pleasure to drive.

the s197 was and is my first and only car. Paid for it all with my hard earned money. When i saw the 2005's come out in 2004 i was so thrilled. I remember me thinking "i will never own one of those " december rolls around my birthday is on the 17th and a week later after i turn 16 i pull my 2008 ford mustang into the driveway for her permanent home.

I always hear my dad saying "da*n if only i had my first car... that would be amazing..." so i plan on saying when i am his age "well son this was my first car... you like it?"

with 26xxx miles on it owned it for 2 years and never a wreck nor problem with it. I am lucky with mine. Love her to death (kinda unhealthy maybe?) when my girlfriend slammed the door i made her apologize to her hahaha kinda in a joking way though.

This is my second new Mustang. My first was a 92 GT vert that I bought brand new. Love them both!

I only have one complaint with my S197s-- I wish they were lighter.
