Default NEED ANSWER ASAP!!!

I need to know if it is legal to tint the side markers on the rear bumper. I live in CA. So any help asap is great!

Its not legal to tint any DOT approved reflector/light.
It makes it NON DOT approved really quick.
Show use only for those types of products...

I don't think you would catch any crap for sidemarkers, but then again its California who knows.

I changed mine and haven't run into any issues..... granted I suppose it depends on where you drive and how pissed off a patrol guy is on any given day (honestly.... I think you'll be fine)

I have had mine on for 4 years with no issues from cops. This is Illinois.

I smoked my tail lights, 3rd brake light, front blinker lights and haven't run into any issues. There are cops all over where I live! This is Georgia.
I don't think a cop will give you s*$@ for having them, unless an accident occurs, then he may give you a citation, if it's your fault.

Same here, I have my turn signals, side markers, and 3rd brake light though and where we live is cop city!!!!

I wouldn't give the cops any excuses to pull me over. Modded tail lights and side markers/blinkers are enough for them to mess with you..

i went with clear ones. No problems from cops. Tinted, they may have a reason to stop you. Clear ones just look like factory.
