Default Windows won't go up or down from the switches.

Ive got a 2008 mustang gt and recently my windows wont go down when i try to roll em down. they go up n down when i open and close the door but they just wont roll down from inside the car. i checked the fuses anyway even its pointless if they still go up and down but they're fine i have no clue whatsoever where the problem could be

Have you tried the recalibration procedure in the OM?

So the short drop works on both the pass and drivers side?
And the switches on BOTH door panels dont work both up or down?
Need more info to diagnose a 1000 mile away unseen problem.
If the short drop works, the fuses are good.
The motors themselves contain the window logic for the assosciated side only.
The two systems are totally independent except for the fuses.
A problem with both windows but only the drivers side switch
not working is plausible, but both the drivers side and the pass
side switches not working at the same time is weird.
It can be diagnosed with the correct and total assessment of the
problem.
Assess and report back...

You could try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes and see if that corrects the problem.

You know you have to connect it again before you do anything.... Right?

Just kidding.

I don't understand how both sides could not be working if what that guy up there said was true.

If anyone still has this problem, I did too with my 2008 stang! The short drop worked fine but both the switches didn't work to roll down the windows! Then I put in a new Accessory delay relay in the smart junction box, (SJB) locating behind the right kick panel and just like they should, the windows went down!

I hope this helps!

I had the same thing happen on my 06. Turned out the switches on the drivers door were bad. Replaced both switch while it was still under warranty and they have worked perfect ever since.
