I've had that same thing with my aftermarket Sirius and it has always been a small break in the covering on the antenna wire grounding it out. Check the antenna wire itself and see if there is a split somewhere.

They found the antenna to be bad. The connections were fine behind the stereo. He said "if we take it apart, and find the connection behind the radio loose, then it won't be covered and you'll be responsible for the labor." convinced that this was not the issue since I had the stuff installed over a ye ago I said do it...a $300 gamble. Connection was good, so he tested stuff in the antenna, it was non functional. Took them a while because he said "ford's 'network' is down." then the part wasn't in stock, and the ordered part came in late this past Friday. Going to take it in this Monday morning when i get out of work. Il update then. Thank you.

Great, I'm glad they were able to diagnose the antenna and are working to correct it. Please let me know if I can help in any way. Have a great day!

I am also having this problem on my 2011 Ford Mustang. Are you able to assist me?

I had to take mine in for this issue several times. They eventually had to replace the entire head unit. It was all done under warranty. It just took a while because I had to switch dealerships after the third visit and the new dealership had to start over.
