Whipple HO or Roushcharger

Whipple HO or Roushcharger
Hey,
I know this seems like a strange question because these two blowers are so different but the overstock price of the roush m90 is very tempting. There's a solid $2500 to be saved here.
So, although I want the whipple and hope one day to exceed the Roush's max of 450rwhp(roughly), for now it makes decent power and saves me quite a bit of cash. Also its arguably safer because it only runs 5-7lbs depending on which pulley is run....
INPUT?????
I'd like to hear from owners of each, anyone regret only having the smaller roush blower? Thanks a lot!!!!!!

Another thing to consider is the 4.10 gears which would make the roush blower more entertaining. I'm also keeping this car for good so a 302 stroker will be going in when the stocker dies.....this partly factors in too

Why would the roush one be any different with 4.10s than a whipple?
Personally I'd go with a whipple because of how it looks and you can get it polished which is more old school to me. I just wish they weren't so freaking expensive. It's kinda ridiculous.

The Roush for $3500 is a screaming deal IMO. If that was a 2010 kit, I'd have bought it already probably. You can get the VMP "500 hp" upgrade for like $800 if I recall, which looks to have put down 429 rwhp on a manual. That power level is no joke in practice. My last GT had about 400 to the ground, and it was fast as hell...

I've been looking at the Whipples recently as well, but the price always steers me away...

the difference between a whipple and 4.10s and a M90 and 4.10s is huge. The whipple makes more tq sooner so tractions not there on street tires.
Yes I know 420hp is a lot but I think I'd get tired of it after a while and then I'd need a new blower. The 500 kit is 1700 so that plus $3900 is $5600 and that's approaching whipple $$$$

Hmm, the chrome M90 is $3500 on eBay from a good seller (or at least, it was 2 weeks ago), and the VMP "500 hp" upgrade is $829 which is $4329?
Have you ever had a car with north of 400 rwhp? I think many people totally underestimate that power level and just think they need to hit some mythical dyno # on paper. The car will be a handful with 4.10s and 420-430rwhp... It sounds like you should probably just spend the $6500 on the Whipple or whatever it costs perhaps. I would love to have a Whipple myself, but they are $800-1000 overpriced IMO.

I went with the roush unit for peace of mind. Anything beyond 450 and your potentially a ticking bomb. There are risks with both kits buts less with the m90 IMO.
Like Mudflap said, add the cai and pulley and your even stronger. I got the cai but not the smaller pulley as I already have longtubes and cams and don't want to push it anymore. Well at least not now! Lol
The price is right too. Don't forget after you buy the SC you still gotta buy at minimum $500 in gauges to monitor your motor and protect your investment.
