Default Scratched the plastic on the side mirrors :(

Long story short, I somehow managed to scratch the matt black plastic on the side view mirror and it left this huge white set of scratches and it looks horrible.

Any ideas on how I can get a quick fix through some DIY time? Any recommended products?

you could try plastic scratch remover. Don't quote me on that though, hopefully someone else on here has an idea of how to do this.

Where exactly are the scratches at? If you can't do anything to hide or fix the scratches, you should try to get the white marks off so there is less attention drawn to the area. What did you hit that left the mark?

...and if it's really that bad, you could always replace it.

Good luck.

I had the same thing happen to me. My Wife backed out the car from the garage and scraped the passenger mirror cowling on the side of the garage door. I hand polished most of it out but for the stuff that was really in there, since it is a rough surface, I used "Goof Off". VERY carefully. Just a little bit goes a LONG way. And be sure to rinse the area.

In your pic, I can't see anything. Looks completely brand new to me. Just how deep are these scratches? If they are too deep, you have no choice but to replace.

Yep, the camera cant pick the scratches up. Looks completely
new to me as well. Only answer is new mirrors and better driving.
The surface is textured so no buffing them out with plastic polish
and Mothers BackToBlack just replaces the lost oils in the plastic.
Do they even have Mothers products in Dubai?
Does not everyone in Dubai have money coming out their **** holes?
Get the new S197 2010-11 mirrors and do the conversion....
That would be a nice DIY for you.

Yeah, I don't know if they have back to black in Dubai
Dubai is a pretty rich place, but you know how the rich stay rich? They don't spend money on everything in sight.

Personally, I like the agent 47 mirrors..... Just saying.....
