It's not that I hate anyone for wanting ricey doors like lambo, scissors, suicide, gull wing doors, I hate the doors themselves. I don't hate the person who wants them.

Suicide doors look great on a sedan when it is only the rear doors that open suicide style, it makes for a great looking cabinet-style or french-door style doors.
On a coupe, they do not look as good. Even on 2 door cars that were made like that straight from the factory (Roll Royce Phantom for example), they do not look as good.

The bottom line is there is no point to changing which way the doors open and I don't care what the guarantee/warranty states.......it will be troubles with the doors as long as you own the car.....they will give you a free hinge if the door fails.....doesn't cover time and if you have to pay for labor. I think the OP has great zest/inspiration for modifying cars.....good luck and hope all goes well!!!

The word rice is thrown around far too often on this board, if simply having gull-wing doors defines a car as rice.

That's because having gullwing doors on something that isn't a 300SL or SLS AMG or Pagani Huayra (or related supercars) IS rice.

Because they know all they sold ya was a guaranteed piece of ****. That's all it is, isn't it? Hey, if you want me to take a dump in a box and mark it guaranteed, I will. I got spare time. But for now, for your customer's sake, for your daughter's sake, ya might wanna think about buying a quality product from me.--Tommy Boy

Except other than the SLS, which is a throwback styling thing, all the cars that have the crazy doors need them because they are so wide you wouldn't be able to park the car anywhere and get out successfully. Suicide doors on a coupe are just a bad idea, you have a lot of structural safety that is designed around the door and modifying it so you can look different is just dumb. I think thats why all of the kits have a "for show car use" or something to that effect. Might as well take your airbags out and put a big spike in the steering wheel, it will definitely be different.
