Default I'd like one, but dealerships have other things on their mind.

I would reaaallly love to get my hands on the new 2011 5.0 mustang. Was looking to get an 04 cobra last year which is why I made this forum name but decided on another car. I've been to 3 dealerships that have the cars I want on their lot, but none want to budge or deal on these cars at all. Id like to trade in my 2008 335i against it and so far the best offer I got was 19k or 20k for it. If I ask more for it then I get a lot of the blown up cheeks with long exhales and awkward silences and blank stares. Makes me feel like snapping fingers in the guys face to wake them up from their trances. Figured it be easier to attain this car than it actually is, and I don't believe I'm being unreasonable, I'll take 25k or even 24k for a trade in.

Mostly just a venting thread, wish me luck guys, hope to be joining you soon......BTW is it true that Kona Blue is the fastest color?

Do you owe on the BMW? If not sell it privately. I do agree that 19-20k is pretty darn low. Just keep looking, you'll find a dealer willing to deal.

Yes and that's why the Boss 302 is coming in Kona Blue.

I own most of it LOL. I still have 20k on the loan left.

$19k for a 335i? That's a laugh. Even low end on kbb tradein with no options and 20k miles is $24k. In new york they shouldnt have any problem selling that car to someone else for $26k-30k depending on how that person haggles. That is almost laughable. Does your car have a ton of miles or dents or something?

Definitely list it up privately, I'm sure you'll get some hits.

The car has 21600 miles on it, no dents aside from a couple of paint chips on the hood from normal highway driving. I told them that I'd be wiling to bend over far for that 5.0 but what they are asking me to do is to win the worlds worst car buyer award. If they don't budge I'll just list it and if it takes me to next year to sell it I'll just build myself a 2012 to order. No rush, being patient.

I would go in with a set amount that you'll pay them, and that you want for your trade. Just start emailing dealers, and see what they offer back. Don't waste your time going in. My dad emailed a bunch of dealers the same way about purchasing a tahoe over the summer, and effectively he got the dealers competing against eachother, and bought the vehicle for way below FACTORY invoice. Good luck!

Is it me or do we have an influx of Bimmer owners trading for the Stang nowadays?
Anyway, it's a good thing...

OP, sell the car privately since you're not in a rush.

And you expected the dealership to give you a fair value for your beemer?
Wake up and smell the coffee. They cant make any $$ that way and the
overhead is killer on a dealership...
Keep the beemer and buy the stang with cash.
Cash talks and you have the buying power then.
