I would reaaallly love to get my hands on the new 2011 5.0 mustang. Was looking to get an 04 cobra last year which is why I made this forum name but decided on another car. I've been to 3 dealerships that have the cars I want on their lot, but none want to budge or deal on these cars at all. Id like to trade in my 2008 335i against it and so far the best offer I got was 19k or 20k for it. If I ask more for it then I get a lot of the blown up cheeks with long exhales and awkward silences and blank stares. Makes me feel like snapping fingers in the guys face to wake them up from their trances. Figured it be easier to attain this car than it actually is, and I don't believe I'm being unreasonable, I'll take 25k or even 24k for a trade in.
Mostly just a venting thread, wish me luck guys, hope to be joining you soon......BTW is it true that Kona Blue is the fastest color?

$19k for a 335i? That's a laugh. Even low end on kbb tradein with no options and 20k miles is $24k. In new york they shouldnt have any problem selling that car to someone else for $26k-30k depending on how that person haggles. That is almost laughable. Does your car have a ton of miles or dents or something?

I would go in with a set amount that you'll pay them, and that you want for your trade. Just start emailing dealers, and see what they offer back. Don't waste your time going in. My dad emailed a bunch of dealers the same way about purchasing a tahoe over the summer, and effectively he got the dealers competing against eachother, and bought the vehicle for way below FACTORY invoice. Good luck!

And you expected the dealership to give you a fair value for your beemer?
Wake up and smell the coffee. They cant make any $$ that way and the
overhead is killer on a dealership...
Keep the beemer and buy the stang with cash.
Cash talks and you have the buying power then.
