I agree with most, I wouldn't be to comfortable getting a stolen car back.
I'd call the CSI and let them do their thing, lol... Depending on the results, I might not want to have anything to do with the car anymore.
It's also impossible to foresee all the things that could be or go wrong later on, because a stolen car hasn't really been pampered mechanically ya know...

Sorry for the late update. I only have my I phone as my computor was in my car and I've been in the field doing training course with recruits. They are checking pawnshops for my computor. Might lead to who did it. I still haven't heard nothing. The cops here don't care about stolen cars I guess. I'll wait another week then call them again.

1967 MUSTANG convertible STOLEN
Please help me find my 1967 convertible MUSTANG - it's cream yellow with black top and interior black.
everything is original - original paint - original radio etc.
right passenger seat has a tear in the sewing.
Black license plates front and back VCA805
It was stolen in front of my house last night 07/16/14 between 10pm and 6:30am in Los Angeles in front of 7269 Waring ave.
PLEASE PLEASE I am 28 year old and the 3rd owner of this beautiful car I LOVE so much and can't live without!! I'll do anything to have it back!!!
